Help us help our children.

Volunteers are an essential part of Cornerstone Child Advocacy Center’s work!

Mental Health Partners Needed: Cornerstone Child Advocacy Center would love to partner with more mental health practitioners in both Boone and Lincoln County so that we may facilitate the most appropriate referral as possible for the children we serve.

Medical Partners Needed: We are in need of  an independent center offering services including forensic medical examinations by qualified medical staff.  A medical practitioner is invited to apply to serve on the board of Cornerstone Family Interventions, Inc. Both Boone and Lincoln County MDIT’s lack medical representation.

Diaper Pantry Project: Cornerstone Family Interventions, Inc. also seeks local pantries and churches in both Boone and Lincoln Counties to partner with us in beginning diaper pantries.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY AT CORNERSTONE

With so many struggling families in Southern West Virginia, I am excited to announce a new opportunity to offer hope to our community. That’s why I am posting this volunteer opportunity at Cornerstone Family Interventions.

I am searching for a VOLUNTEER DIAPER PANTRY COORDINATOR who will serve families in Boone and Lincoln Counties.

This opportunity will be made possible by a collaborative grant from the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation (TGKVF) and Cornerstone’s collaboration with several other organizations that serve children and families in the TGKVF catchment area.

The individual will assist Cornerstone in partnering with existing pantries and faith based organizations in our communities to provide diapers and formula to needy families. The time commitment will be approximately 16 hours per month. Computer skills and reliable transportation will be required.

Interested individuals may contact me at Monica Ballard-Booth at Monicaballard@cfiwv.org for more information or for a complete list of duties.

Email us at Monicaballard@cfiwv.org to learn more about how you can get involved.

Please note: Due to the confidential nature of our services, volunteer opportunities that offer direct interaction with clients are very limited. Volunteers who interact with families at the center must pass a child abuse registry and criminal background check.
